Lynette S. LaRoche, R.N., B.S.N.
Founder and CEO
Lynette became an RN in 1971 and later earned a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix. As President and CEO of Competent Care Home Health Nursing, Lynette oversees the process, direction and vision of services provided to all clients. With more than 45 years of nursing experience in several capacities, Lynette has catapulted Competent Care towards the next phase of home nursing by building contractual partnerships with insurance companies, care coordinators and third party administrators to provide their patients with home health services. As the founder of Competent Care, Lynette is credited for the development and implementation of a business model that provides the highest quality of professional home care services to a multitude of patients.
Kurt Yoder, R.N.
Administrator
Kurt Yoder has been the Administrator and Clinical Director at Competent Care for the past 12 years. He has an extensive background in critical care, hospital administration and home health. Kurt graduated first in his class from the innovative UCI Scholarship in conjunction with Cypress College. He was inspired to pursue a career in home health after observing changes in care in acute hospitals and the advent of managed care. Prior to working at Competent Care, Kurt has held senior management positions in home health, long term care, and legal medical consulting. He has developed innovative strategies to streamline operations and successfully maintain national accreditation status for Competent Care for the last 9 years. In his free time, he can be found working in his garden with his chihuahuas by his side.
Jamie Rodriguez, R.N.
Clinical Services Manager
Jamie Rodriguez is the Clinical Services Manager at Competent Care. Jamie has a diverse nursing background starting her career in the medical field in 2002. She worked as an emergency room nurse and has an extensive experience in home health, and hospice, providing patient care and case management. Jamie went back to work in a hospital during the COVID 19 pandemic working on the frontlines providing patient care to her local community in Orange County, CA. Jamie Graduated from Carrington College in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she was awarded the Rotary Club Scholarship. Jamie’s career in home health transpired when she realized that hospital patients being discharged often times needed lots of support and teaching, it was then she realized she wanted to help. Jamie’s current position as Clinical Services Manger allows her to over see all aspects of patient care, allowing her the opportunity to organize and lead a team of Clinical Staff, helping to make a difference in the lives of the clients and families, building meaningful relationships along the way. In her free time Jamie enjoys traveling to new places with her family, learning about new things, she considers herself a “lifetime learner.”
