We Care For You

It can be hard when you or a loved one struggles with day to day activities. You might feel tired or worried about the future. You may wonder how you will be able to care for yourself and be safe. Competent Care Home Health Nursing can provide you with safety and security in your own home by helping with activities of daily living that family and friends can not do.

Activities of Daily Living

Helping someone bathe, dress, groom and toilet effectively, can be challenging. Our trained caregivers are accomplished at making these daily tasks an easy, safe and comfortable experience for their patients.

  • Bathing allows the caregiver an opportunity to interact with the client and engage conversation. It also allows the caregiver the opportunity to observe the clients’ skin to observe for any changes, including rashes, bed sores, or any abnormalities.

  • Toileting is a daily routine. For individuals who are in need of in-home assistance, this daily routine can become a burden for the patient and their loved ones.Toileting and for patients who are bedridden, can assist with a bedpan, diapering or a commode.

  • Grooming can make a patient feel happier and more confident. Competent Caregiving can help patients with bathing, shampooing, shaving, hair brushing, oral care, nail care and more.

  • Dressing to choose clean and appropriate clothing and assisting with buttons, snaps zippers, etc., can be liberating for the client who struggles with those tasks.

  • Nutrition and mealtimes should be a positive expierience and we are happy to meet any special requests. Some patients may require certain diets, others may need help with feeding themselves. Meal time also becomes an enjoyable social time when the patient and caregiver are able to engage in conversation.
